In my never-ending study of the shunga artI was pleasantly delighted to see that more and more modern artists are being іпfɩᴜeпсed or inspired by this genre. One of them, modern shunga artist Jeff Faerber, responded to my email by saying: “In most of my paintings, I use shunga as inspiration, but this one, is the first time I used one for direct composition and pose of the figures.”
