At this moment we are speechless.
Evil walks among us.
This poor dog was obviously subjected to immense cruelty.
He was found today on someone’s porch crying and grunting in pain.
Picking up Murphy, he quickly realized I was SAFE and showered me with kisses.
Dogs, the most forgiving creatures that walk among us.
Upon arriving at our veterinarian, Crystal Creek Animal Hospital, he climbed into my lap and lay there peacefully, crying softly as I petted him and let him know that he would never be hurt again.
Day 2:: In rescue you frequently experience distress.
Unfortunately, it’s only part of it.
From the moment I got Murphy, he’s been attached to me.
Zero aggression, not even a growl.
I can’t imagine, even on painkillers, how unbearable this must be for him.
Please continue to keep my baby in your prayers.
He is a strong boy, but please pray for comfort and a speedy healing.
Day 4: Today Murphy completed his second debridement surgery to remove the rest of the attached fur and damaged tissue.
Murphy did excellent and the surgery was a success.
Day 6:: Murphy stood up when he saw me approaching his cage.
They greeted me with sloppy kisses and wagging tails.
As you can see, today he is very alert and no longer crying!
He, of course, went straight to his comfort zone.
He lay down between my legs and rested his head on my leg and foot.
I am very happy with the progress you have made since your surgery yesterday.
His IV is outside.
Your points look great.
He’s not playing with his bandage and he ate all the homemade treats my best friend made him.
Day 8:: Today I decided to give Murphy a break from veterinary life and take him for a drive and get some ice cream.
He was happy to be out of his kennel and was a perfect gentleman.
Riding in the car, He ate all the ice cream and then went into a food coma and buried his head between his paws.
Murph has a lot of personality and you see him a little more every day.
Day 10: Murphy He has already been in treatment for 10 days.
We were able to get clearance from our vet that he is well enough to go to a foster home.
Day 11: Just look at Murph standing up and wagging his tail when he saw me arrive today!
He is a VERY happy boy with the strength of a soldier.
Day 13: You are 13 days into your healing process and as you can see, your back is healing beautifully.
He comes back for a new check-up and the points are taken away.
In a week, after your burns heal, we can begin your heartworm treatment.
Day 18: Just look at Mr. Handsome enjoying the good life outside of a kennel.
He’s a good boy.
He knows how to sit and give both legs.
He is good with humans and dogs.
He is a typical 2 year old puppy full of love and joy.
Day 20: Murphy heads into the weekend as Day 35: The progress he’s made in such a short time is nothing short of miraculous.
He is such a sweet soul and I am literally baffled why anyone would do this to him.
Her happy, silly, and loving personality is a testament to her resilience.
Murphy has finally been adopted by an amazing family.
Murphy now has an amazing mom and son to love and care for, and he will definitely play the role of their guardian.
Murphy has discovered that there are more humans and I can’t wait to see him flourish.
How happy Murphy is now.
We are very happy for him.
