The owner of a giant poisonous centipede has released “goosebumps” footage of this bizarre pet crawling all over him.
Neil Cheng Le, 26, a biology student in Taiwan bought a giant Peruvian female centipede measuring more than 40cm in 2014 when it was a fraction of its current size.
The gruesome video shows Cheng Le bravely letting the unnamed centipede crawl on her bare skin before feeding it cat food.
However, the 26-year-old student does not recommend keeping centipedes as pets and warns that only professionals are qualified to handle such dangerous creatures.

He said: “Obviously caring for venomous insects carries certain risks and should only be reserved for experienced people. Their bites can certainly be painful, but I did
. never felt unsafe, as I am an arthropod hobbyist and experienced arthropod I had no problem letting it crawl on top of me and feeding it with my bare hands. .”

Centipede stings, caused by their pincer-like claws, can cause pain, redness, nausea and fever.
Centipedes’ stings are so poisonous they can subdue prey 15 times their own size – which also means college student Cheng Le must choose his roommates wisely.
Neil said: “My roommate has a weird hobby like me, he also has poisonous pets. My centipede is gentle and easy to handle. However, to keep it healthy, you appropriate experience and knowledge is required”.
