He used to cry a lot after enduring a lot of pain, BUT now he is truly the pride of his family
Meet Amber. She found him in a ditch this morning in Lancaster County, South Carolina. The poor tabby baby is devastated and will need immediate reconstructive surgery. His face was not a face, he was in pieces and severely infected. His nasal passage was also destroyed.
He currently cannot breathe properly. His jaw is shattered and his teeth are everywhere and not where they should be. His real nose is in pieces. She has so much damage to her face, nose and jaw that they need to sedate her this afternoon for a CT scan. This is the worst the medical team has ever seen.

He is young, about 2 years old, and has his whole life ahead of him! She is severely underweight and super malnourished. Amber had to be under anesthesia every day for about five days for this to happen. She now she has a new face. And new nostrils to breathe.
She is still very swollen here. She has the sweetest character despite everything she’s been through. She still has some swelling but she is healing well. She still needs to be cured as well as heartworm treatment and spaying after all this. She is a little soldier and she is so full of love! After dinner, time to play and then quickly fall asleep, snuggled up in her blanket.

Today was too nice not to go for a walk with my new siblings Jack and Alice around my new neighborhood. I must say that she definitely feels comfortable in her new home. She wants to thank all of her wonderful friends for giving her so much support, thinking of her on her path to a better life, and for loving her so much.
