The rescued puppy remained upset at the shelter until she saw the fireman who saved her come in
Even when they are in the worst possible condition, dogs are grateful creatures, they know how to recognize who gave them a helping hand when they need it most, and do not cease to believe in human kindness. This is the trait of man’s best and most loyal friend.
This pitbull was the victim of someone who abandoned him, not caring that he was a living being with feelings.

He knew only pain, sadness and extreme weather, finding no shelter.

He was seen by Mike Thawley, a firefighter from Station 14 in Sacramento, California, USA, who found him shivering in the rain and no one came to pick him up .

It is often said that firefighters never stop on duty when they need to help someone in need.

Mike holds his little one, about three months old, almost hairless, his feet swollen and scaly. She cleaned him up and took him to Front Street Animal Center for much-needed medical care.
They informed him he was in good hands, however, he couldn’t get over this adorable puppy.

Shelter staff began treating him for scabies, carefully wrapping him to keep him warm and protect his skin.

They called her Chunkie, despite getting all the attention they had noticed that something was wrong with her, she was still upset.

Firefighter Mike returns to visit the puppy he rescued. When they come together, it’s amazing and they realize everything.

Chunkie’s vitality returned immediately. Without a doubt, he is grateful to have been brought out of a place where he only had bad memories.

Also, she knows who won her heart, she got it show him the love she deserves, wags her tail and kisses her many times, wants to thank this man for saving her life .

Mike can’t let her go anymore, he talks to his family about accepting Chunkie as a new member. The decision was unanimous: they gladly accepted.

One unforgettable Friday morning, after being treated with kindness, Mike, the rowdy Chunkie followed, signed the adoption papers at the shelter.

Mike, his wife Carla and their three daughters welcome him to his dream home.
“We all love her,” Mike said.

These inseparable friends have a life ahead to share together, Chunkie is very happy.
