Hermeus’ hypersonic Quarterhorse aircraft might very well be the jet of the future, displacing even Lockheed Martin’s hypersonic SR-72 before it sees the light of day.

The Quarterhorse has pioneered new territory, and the United States Air Force is quite pleased. In fact, they have granted the startup business a $60 million contract to test the Quarterhorse in flight.
This engine configuration enables the Quarterhorse to perform admirably at any speed, from the relatively low commercial airline speeds of today to hypersonic speeds that would leave even fighter jets in the dust.
